First public alpha release of ShellOrchestra.

Highlights

• Agentless, self-hosted server management from a browser-based control plane.

Alpha notes

This is an alpha release. Expect rough edges and incomplete production hardening. Use it for evaluation, lab environments, and early feedback before relying on it for critical production workflows.

Security model

ShellOrchestra is designed to avoid installing agents on managed servers. Server access goes through SSH and standard operating-system tools. Sensitive server access is protected by trusted-device enrollment, split key shares, explicit unlock flows, and short-lived SSH certificates.

Release verification

Verify the signed keyring before trusting release artifacts. This release manifest uses key id shellorchestra-alpha-release-2026q3, and that release key is carried inside ../keyring.json. The offline root public key is published for transparency as ../root-key.pem; clients trust their compiled root key, not an unsigned website key.
